Movie Night

Yesterday was movie night over at our house.  The new Tinkerbell DVD (Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue) was released and we all cuddled up on the couch to watch.  In case anyone wants a review, I give it a two thumbs up.  It was fast paced, and had some excitement, all the fairies were included, and it had a great message for the adults who were watching too :)

So in honour of that, here are some pics from Disneyland from August.  Of course, starting with Pixie Hollow.
They added the little house that Lizzie made for fairies, and the rescue boat.

The backdrop to meet the first fairy friends was the field journal from the movie.

Over near Tinkerbell's house, there were lots of new things to see.

 Including a visit from Vidia!

Since almost everyday we were there either started or ended (or actually both :)) with a spin on the tea cups.  I thought it would be fitting to end this post with a pic of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Fall in Pixie Hollow

I love fall,  I love the crisp air, the cooler weather which is perfect cuddle in a blanket weather, and the colours of the changing leaves.

Technically since it is still summer here, I don't have too many fall stories to tell yet :)  So for this fall challenge over at Inspired Scrapper, I chose some pics from Pixie Hollow in Disneyland.  Last year, it was transformed into a Fall Revelry to match the theme of the movie Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure.  We loved to see the coloured leaves, the fall banners, the compass and the fall scepter from the movie.  It was a surprise to also meet Terrence, Tinkerbell's friend.

Supplies
Best Creation pp
Basic Grey pp
Artsylicious chipboard letters
Marth Stewart punches

Originally this layout had a very neutral kraft background with the one square piece of pp and the butterflies as the only pop of colour.  However my attempt to add some sparkle and pixie dust to the layout was not very successful.  So I ended up changing the background totally, and went from a neutral to bright fall colours.  Lesson learned that pixie dust is best left to fairies ;)

I love this celtic styled song from the movie.

Here are two more projects using the Autumn Splendor line from Best Creations.

I can't believe my baby is three.  She has turned into little miss independent.
She started preschool this week and loves it!  I was a bit worried about how she would react to being left with the teacher, but she was totally fine!  Apparently she also talks up a storm with the teacher, I might have get the teacher some Tylenol to help ease her headaches at the end of the day :) lol
