Ornament Punch Flower Tutorial

The girls jumped at the chance to make their own ornament punch flowers this afternoon.  So while they were working at it, I took some step by step photos.

Supplies
1" circle punch (or just a circle)
ornament punch
pencil (or something to roll the punches)
adhesive

Punch out around 16 ornaments.  Then roll each one.  It doesn't take that long.  Feel free to ink and distress the edges too :)

I put adhesive all over the circle and then placed the petals in a pattern. The first row they are placed at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00

.

On the next row they are placed closer to the centre than the first row and are placed in the spaces left from row 1.  approx 2:00, 4:00, 7:00 and 11:00.
Continue in this way (moving the rows closer to the centre and alternating where they are placed) until you reach the centre.  The centre one is just a more tightly rolled petal.

Pretty flowers made by a 6 and 7 year old!
They are now working on colouring their own designs on white paper to make their own custom flowers.   Summer crafty fun!
